Structure
LANGUAGES & BUSINESS features various types of sessions in order to create the most comprehensive and cohesive agenda possible.
Market leaders will present their products in an accompanying exhibition.
The conference agenda is divided into:
Pre-Conference Workshops
An exciting programme of optional workshops will take place on Monday, 21 April, 2007, offering participants the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and insight from leading experts in a variety of specialised fields. These small, intensive sessions offer attendees a unique chance to fine-tune their skills and acquire new ones.
These are either half- or full-day sessions. The intention is that these be practical working meetings that develop participants’ skills or knowledge in a particular area. The emphasis is on activity and interaction, so the number of participants is limited.
Plenary Sessions
Scheduled during the morning of Tuesday, 22 April and Wednesday, 23 April, these plenary sessions feature experts who will make contributions of a strategic nature to the participant’s knowledge base.
Parallel Sessions
These sessions are organised around the main themes of the conference. Each session is made up of various presentations lasting between 20 and 30 minutes, where leading practitioners will present their experiences and research findings. Some of these sessions will feature case studies from various organisations and enterprises.
The presentations are timed to afford sufficient opportunity for discussion between speakers and participants.
Working Groups
90-minute working groups will be taking place at the same time as these parallel sessions. Participants can resort to the specified topics, but are encouraged to put forward their own proposals. The focus will be on sharing experiences and problem solving. Participant places are again limited in order to ensure the effective running of the session.
